En Español Abajo

The Office of Academic Advising & Student Services, in room 201 of the College of Education, is the first stop for the College of Education undergraduate student and for any undergraduate student who wants to learn more about the college's programs and opportunities.

We support undergraduate students through communication, clubs/organizations, and events. Our advisors provide Academic Advising to all College of Education pre-majors, majors, and minors; pre-education exploratory; post-baccalaureate; and students interested in secondary education. We also provide information on applying to our professional preparation programs, degree and certification requirements and planning for future jobs and careers.

Prospective Education Students

If you are interested in declaring an education major, your first step is to explore our majors and minors; this will allow you to determine the best advisor to meet your needs. Then, please schedule a meeting with a College of Education academic advisor, who is assigned based on your intended major or minor. High school students are encouraged to connect with us through our Future Students page.

Current Education Students

Students who are declared as a major in the College of Education can schedule an appointment with their advisor. Appointments are available via phone, Zoom, or in person:

  • If you prefer a phone appointment, please call 520-621-7865 at the time of your scheduled appointment.
  • If you prefer a virtual appointment via Zoom, please join your advisor’s Zoom link at the time of your scheduled appointment; they will let you in from the waiting room when they have completed their previous appointment.
  • If you prefer an in-person appointment, please check in at the Student Services front desk in the College of Education building (1430 E. Second St.) at or before the time of your scheduled appointment.
  • Appointments are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis; however, advising may be limited during priority registration advising weeks. Availability and appointment types are regularly updated on your advisor’s scheduling page. Bring your plan of study, unofficial transcripts, list of questions, and any other pertinent documents to the appointment.

Drop-in Advising

Academic Advisors offer drop-in hours during the Fall and Spring semesters, Monday through Thursday from 9-10am and 3-4pm, via phone or Zoom. If your advisor is available in person on the day of your drop-in, you may meet with them in person. If your advisor is not available, you may be referred to another advisor on our team to support you.
