Have you always dreamed of working with K-12 students with mild to moderate disabilities, including learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism, and emotional and behavioral disorders? The Mild to Moderate Disabilities B.S.E. program is a 60-credit program that leads to a B.S.E. in Special Education. The program consists of a three-semester sequence of coursework and culminates with a semester of a supervised internship in an approved special education setting with a certified special education teacher. The program follows a cohort model, allowing you to complete the program with the same group of students for three semesters. This program is offered in-person and online.
Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) options are available for MMD major students to pursue a Special Education M.A with a second certification area. Contact your academic advisor for details.
