A team of three doctoral students from the Center for Educational Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (CEARE) won the 2024 American Evaluation Association (AEA) United States Student Evaluation Case Competition! Congratulations to Hannah Douglas, Emilia Roland-Umasabor, and Yamini Bhukya, PhD students in Educational Psychology, had the top-rated proposal of all 12 teams that participated in the nationwide competition. Adriana Cimetta, Associate Research Professor in Educational Psychology and Director of CEARE, along with Rebecca Friesen, Research Scientist from CEARE, served as the team coaches.
The team, Evalu8tors Ensemble, will be formally recognized at the 2024 AEA conference in October during the awards plenary session, and are eligible to compete later this year as the United States representative in the World Evaluation Case Competition!
The team’s submissions will be posted soon to the SCC website. All team members and coaches receive an award/scholarship from AEA consisting of 1-year free AEA membership, free conference registration at the next AEA conference, and formal recognition at the AEA conference.
