Faculty Spotlight
Adriana Cimetta

Dr. Cimetta is an Associate Research Professor in the Educational Psychology Department. She works in program evaluation, and has recently focused on early childhood and law education. Dr. Cimetta published this paper on validating the Research-Based Early Math Assessment (REMA) among rural children in the southwest United States, which highlighted how poverty negatively affects kindergarteners’ performance on the REMA. She has also recently published on the validity and reliability of JD-Next, a fully-online, non-credit course that trains potential JD students in case reading and analysis skills before their first year of law school. Dr. Cimetta has made a name and is heavily sought-after in program evaluation.  She has been recruited for numerous projects across campus using interdisciplinary approaches to improving research and practice.  Dr. Cimetta teaches popular courses in adolescent development for undergraduates and program evaluation for graduate students.
