Richard J. Morris (Ph.D., Arizona State University) is the David and Minnie Meyerson Distinguished Professor of Disability and Rehabilitation and Professor and Program Director, School Psychology Training Program, Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies, College of Education. He has been elected to the status of Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) ---holding Fellow status in seven APA divisions (School Psychology; Clinical Psychology; Rehabilitation Psychology; Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology; International Psychology; Psychologist in Independent Practice; and, Children, Youth and Families), elected Charter Fellow of the American Psychological Society, and elected Fellow of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. He has authored or edited 13 books and more than 125 journal articles and book chapters in the areas of child emotional and behavior disorders and child psychotherapy. His recent books include: The Practice of Child Therapy, 4th ed. (with Thomas R. Kratochwill), Evidenced-Based Interventions for Students with Learning and Behavioral Challenges (with Nancy Mather); and, Disability Research and Policy: Current Perspectives. His current research interests focus on studying the relationship between disability and juvenile delinquency, legal and ethical issues in the delivery of children's mental health services, and managing childhood aggressive and disruptive behaviors in the classroom. His teaching interests center on ethical and professional standards in the delivery of psychological services to children and youth, child psychotherapy, and childhood emotional and behavior disorders. Dr. Morris is a licensed psychologist, past President of APA's Division of Rehabilitation Psychology, past Chair and Board Member of the State of Arizona, Board of Psychologist Examiners and past Board Member and Vice-President of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He has also served as a member of APA Ethics Committee and as a member and Chair of the APA Membership Committee, and an editorial consultant to several scholarly journals in psychology. In addition, he has served as a member of the APA Council of Representatives. Dr. Morris currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Psychological Association Insurance Trust (APAIT).
