Christopher Sanderson is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Education. He has taught for the past 26 years, starting as a middle school teacher in Southern Arizona, and has spent the last two decades in higher education. Before joining the College of Education, he worked as an instructor for UA South, where he contributed to providing educational opportunities to students residing in the rural areas of Southern Arizona. He currently instructs for the Elementary Education and Learning, Leadership, and Innovation programs. Throughout his career, he has continually strived to develop, mentor, and train future K-8 educators to create and deliver impactful and innovative classroom instruction. One focus of his instructional practice is integrating technology into coursework, helping to empower future teachers and leaders in emphasizing inclusivity at both the local, national, and global levels. His work embodies pedagogical practices that prepare educators to enrich their learning and teaching skills in future classrooms. His primary research interests center on digital literacy, equity, inclusion, and inequality. He aims to promote digital equity and social justice while fostering digital literacy, identity, and global connectivity.
