Alzira dos Santos Duncan is a pre-K through college educator who has worked as a classroom teacher, professional development trainer, administrator, and college instructor. Alzira is the co-founder of Bloom Educational Consulting, which focuses on K-12 curriculum writing with an emphasis on world cultures. During her career as an educator, she has specialized in gifted education, Mexican American studies, and supporting underserved communities as a Family Liaison. In addition to her work in K-12, Alzira has taught ESL classes, supervised early childhood education students at the University of Arizona, and taught Portuguese at Pima Community College. She holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and an Education Specialist Degree in Language, Reading, and Culture from the University of Arizona. Originally from Santos, Brazil, her experiences as a bilingual educator and her work in culture and language, as well as her passion to explore cultures and traditions around the world inspire her work as an educator.
