Nurturing Cultural Humility and Responsiveness Through Restorative Pedagogy in Graduate Education

Last semester, one of the University of Arizona College of Education school psychology doctoral students, Ivette Merced, co-authored a publication, 'Nurturing Cultural Humility and Responsiveness Through Restorative Pedagogy in Graduate Education.'

This publication goes through training paradigms to adequately prepare future educators, as our school communities reflect the increasing cultural, ethnic, linguistic, socioeconomic, religious, sexual, and gender diversity of our society. This multi-authored reflective paper describes the use of Restorative Pedagogy, an approach grounded in Restorative Justice and Practices, as a vehicle to facilitate the development of these important qualities.
