Linking Southwest Heritage through Archaeology, including University of Arizona College of Education Dr. Sara Chavarria and Dr. Corey Knox and students from Cholla High School, Pueblo High School and Sunnyside High School along with a history teacher from Cholla High School and a professor of anthropology Dr. Barbara Mills recently visited the Grand Canyon National Park in a four-day trip to explore national park cultural resource sites.
The program connects youth from the southwest to their cultural histories by using regional archaeology as a bridge, with hands-on, behind-the-scenes archaeological experiences!
