Felisia Tagaban-Gaskin, Karina Salazar, Nadia Rodriguez, and Valerie Shirley were awarded more than $36,000 to continue their work in the Sunnyside school district. Their proposal was entitled Embodying Hispanic- and Native-Servingness through Local Partnerships: Strengthening UArizona’s Investment to the Sunnyside Unified School District. The effort was supported by Bruce Johnson, Kasandra Urquidez, Iliana Reyes, Steve Holmes, Sara Chavarria, Zach Sbragia, Regina Deil-Amen, and Marcy Wood.
