It's been nearly two years since the COVID-19 pandemic began, and during that time many faced the challenges of mental health, including students. Associate Professor of Counseling, and Disability and Psychoeducational Studies Dr. Lia Falco spoke about mental health in the classroom and the effects of the last two years, as well as the University of Arizona College of Education partnership with Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) counseling for students and families free of charge.
"This entire experience I think has really just shined a big light on the existing mental health challenges so many students already faced," Dr. Lia Falco said.
