December 2015

Tech & Learning Magazine, the leading publication in the education technology market, named Mindplay's Teacher Companion, co-authored by Professor Nancy Mather, as a recipient of the Tech & Learning Award of Excellence in New Products. The companion is an eight-module online professional development course for K-12 educators. Read more here.

 

October 2015

Professor Shirin Antia and Associate Professor of Practice Kathryn Kreimeyer finished a new book, Social Competence of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children (Oxford). They highlight multiple strategies that teachers, families, and community members can use to promote the social competence of these children. 

 

May/June 2015

Professor Sheri Bauman wrote an opinion piece for womensenews.org on how gender bias continues to flourish, and she was featured in Publico, a publication that comes out of Portugal.

Professor of Practice L. Penny Rosenblum is at the forefront of the effort to get the word out about braille code changes. She and Associate Professor Sunggye Hong, who is the coordinator of the visual impairment program, updated their braille courses so new teachers of students with visual impairments get the updated skills they need.
