Rebecca Friesen, MEd, PhD

Rebecca Friesen graduated from our EDP program in 2022. Dr. Friesen received the Outstanding Graduate Award from the College of Education. She is currently a Research Scientist at CEARE housed in EDP at The University of Arizona and conducts research and evaluation. She is a wonderful example of our EDP graduate program. Maggie Medina-Boice

Maggie Medina-Boice, PhD, graduated from UArizona EdP in December, 2021. Dr Medina-Boice is currently located in Florida, and works at Pearson as a Research & Development Analyst where she focuses on early childhood assessments and interventions.

Alumna Alyson Lavigne

Our alumna Alyson Lavigne is an assistant professor of instructional leadership at Utah State University. Using her training as an educational psychologist and classroom researcher, Lavigne has conducted research on teacher retention, teachers’ beliefs, teacher supervision and evaluation, and Latinx students’ experiences. Most recently, she merged her interest in educational policy, specifically teacher evaluation, and teaching and motivation in schools that serve Latinx students, to focus on instructional practices and leadership in schools that serve diverse youth and dual language learners.
