As an administrative assistant in the Office of the Dean, Fernando Parra maintains the associate dean’s calendar and assists in planning and implementing events related to educator recruitment, retention, and preparation. Parra maintains records on course and curricular changes, student appeals, meetings related to the Office of Academic Affairs, and selected financial awards for students. He also assists the Office of Marketing and Communications and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations with event logistics and accounting. He is the point of contact for the college’s National Advisory Board meetings. Additionally, Parra provides support for Educational Leadership and Policy by providing reimbursements for department faculty, assisting with procurement needs, making travel arrangements, and maintaining the program director’s calendar. Parra joined the College of Education team in 2017.
