Jared Schultz

Professor, Disability and Psychoeducational Studies

Disability & Psychoeducational Studies

Jared C. Schultz (Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counseling) is a Professor in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies. He also has an appointment in the Department of Family and Community Medicine in the School of Medicine, and serves as the Director of Research for the Sonoran University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. His main areas of research include transition issues for students with disabilities, clinical supervision of counselors, and ethical issues in counseling and supervision. He has worked extensively on issues related to employment of persons with disabilities, including working closely with state vocational rehabilitation agencies on training, research, and systems change initiatives. He is active in local, regional, and national professional organizations, including having served as the President of the National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE).
