Research Projects
Professor Shirin Antia has spent three decades working to improve the inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing students as well as the instruction of the individuals who teach them. To continue a portion of her work, Antia was awarded a four-year, $800,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs.
The project begins in January. Researchers Publish, Earn Grants to Improve Instruction.
Associate Professor Todd Fletcher was awarded a grant from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education to work on the COMANI Project, a consortium of universities from three countries. The consortium will foster knowledge development and exchange across the United States, Mexico, and Canada to promote increased participation and social inclusion of children and families with fletcherdisabilities and special needs.
