Paul Robinson (Ph.D., Stanford University), is an associate professor in the Department of Teaching and Teacher Education. His previous appointment was at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His teaching, research, and service are in the area of social studies education. His scholarly writing has centered on the history of that field and the development of social studies curriculum standards. He recently served a term on the Board of Directors of the National Council for the Social Studies and has served as President of the Arizona Council for the Social Studies. In 2001 he was the recipient of the Wilbur Murra Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arizona Council. His interest in global education has taken him to Japan with the Rocky Mountain Regional Japan Project and to South Korea with the Korea Society.
