Charlene M. Kampfe (Pn.D., University of Arizona) is an associate professor in the Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and School Psychology. She teaches primarily doctoral and master's level courses in the areas of rehabilitation and research. She has served on 4 national counseling boards and has served on the Governing Council of the American Counseling Association for two different terms. Her primary research interest areas are rehabilitation pedagogy, aging, adult transitions and coping strategies; and she has well over 60 publications in these areas. She have given numerous national and international presentations in the areas of aging, rehabilitation pedagogy, parallels between creative dance and creative counseling, transition, and coping.She has received many three national research awards for her research on transition; many local, state and national teaching awards; and many state and national service awards.
