Lia Falco - Adjunct Assistant Professor

Ph.D., University of Arizona Research interests: school counseling curriculum design and intervention planning, student outcomes, gender and self-efficacy.
Teaching specialty areas: Professional Orientation to School Counseling, Ethics and Professional Identify, Valuing Diversity in School Counseling and Guidance, and Career Development and Advanced Educational Planning.
Lia Falco (Ph.D., University of Arizona) is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, primarily affiliated with the M.ED. program in School Counseling. Beginning in fall 2008 she will be teaching the Professional Orientation, Ethics and Professional Identity, Valuing Diversity, and Career Development and Advanced Educational Planning courses in addition to supervising the practicum and internship for the School Counseling master's students. Her research focuses on school counseling curriculum design and student outcomes, with special interest in student attitudes and self-efficacy for mathematics learning. She is a certified school counselor in the State of Arizona and worked as a middle school counselor for four years. She is also the editorial assistant for the Journal for Specialists in Group Work and is on the review board for the Middle Grades Research Journal.
